About me

I am originally from Peru, and my academic and professional journey provided me with a broader perspective when studying our ecosystems. After graduating, I worked as an environmental consultant and project manager on projects related to the Andes-Amazon region in the private and non-profit sectors. In these roles, I contributed to research grant development and led outreach initiatives, including participatory monitoring, citizen science programs, and the design and communication of project outputs for diverse audiences.

Research Work

My research integrates remote sensing, GIS, and quantitative modeling to examine how landscape dynamics shape patterns of biodiversity across systems. I am particularly interested on how these systems respond to the human footprint. Currently, I focus on how extractive industries (anthropogenic disturbances), such as mining, reorganize responses across conceptual levels (populations, communities, ecosystems, landscapes).
